Let’s start by creating your own Vision and Mission Statement

Here is an example of my own vision and mission statement using key questions to unlock current thoughts, feelings, values and beliefs I would love to witness on my journey on my Vision and Mission… Which I hope and pray helps you too…

LORD What would You have me do today towards the bigger picture from Your perspective?

Imagine Your PROMISED LAND on a PERFECT DAY?
You are with like-minded and like-hearted family and friends.
You are reaching the lost with new hope and your strong faith in Me is providing a safe and secure covering of…
LOVE to the unloved with…
JOY for the depressed
PEACE for the troubled hearts
WATER for the thirsty
FOOD for the hungry
JOBS for the unemployed
HOMES for the homeless
A FATHER to the fatherless
And support for the single mothers and fathers!
And for the widows too!
(Yes I have experienced all the above at some time in my life!)

LORD Who do You say I am?

You are a child of God! You are loved! You are forgiven! You are a new creation as the old corrupt spirit is dead replaced by His life-giving Spirit! You are chosen and set apart! You are not condemned! You are victorious! You are God’s workmanship! You are the temple of the Holy Spirit! You are a citizen of heaven! You are already saved, healed and made whole! You are His voice, His hands and His feet! You are out of this world while temporarily here!

These are not the opinions of mankind these are eternally true…

Whether I choose to believe Him or not is my choice?

I pray I choose wisely!

LORD What are my natural and supernatural gifts, talents or skills?

You have a gift of encouragement! When faced with problems you look for all the possible solutions. You sense when someone you meet is going through something and you offer a listening and compassionate ear to hear… and to understand what they went through and how they now feel…

You have a positive outlook… rather lean in to fear… You look for all the positive possible options before making a decision.

You are born with an excitement to see others go for their dreams and encourage them to succeed.

You hate injustice with a passion and this passion causes you to to continue on your dreams even when others do not, or cannot yet see and believe in the bigger picture you desire to achieve.

You are a joyful and generous giver not because you have to but because you want to as it’s part of who you are. When resources are low you still want to give, and give from your heart or with a smile, or an encouraging word at the right time, inspires you to do more…

What comes easily to me?

All the old fashioned words come to mind… Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Decency, Forgiveness, Compassion, Caring, Understanding, Encouraging…

Problem solving by taking a step back, looking at the longer term mission and thinking outside the box, self-reflection of lessons learned and solutions of how to be or do something better than before.

I can approach people, easily and start a conversation and learn something by actively listening… as everyone has a story. If I start something I can stay focused on it’s completion.

I enjoy creating things with low-level coding like Websites, databases, systems, and automation to free up my time to better serve people…

I naturally make excuses for others but critical on my self to be better and rise higher.

I can turn anger and pain into something positive to focus on to make it better than before…

I accept gifts gracefully as I want others to feel the same way when I give… I believe in giving 100% when I set my mind to someone or something especially when The Holy Spirit says “Yes!”

I love to see people succeed and when I receive a genuine “Thank You” or some kind of appreciation a flame gets set alight on the inside with a passion, to be more, to do more and to give more.

What challenges have I overcome that shaped who I am?

Bereavements: Have helped me realise how precious TIME is and where I SPEND it… It’s also helped me focus on who I am, and to discover Why I am here… To complete the desires of my heart with a lifelong mission that leaves some kind of eternal legacy.

Homelessness: To discover that not having a home was not so bad… As I still had hope and a dream…

What problem in the world do I feel most compelled to solve?

The same answers to Question One…

LOVE to the unloved with…
JOY for the depressed
PEACE for the troubled hearts
WATER for the thirsty
FOOD for the hungry
JOBS for the unemployed
HOMES for the homeless
A FATHER to the fatherless
And support for the single mothers and fathers!
And for the widows too!

How do I want to contribute to something larger than myself?

Through Jesus as He directs my steps and knows the bigger picture.

Who do I want to help or serve?

GOD First, my family, friends and global and local neighbours…

LORD What fears are holding me back from pursuing this dream?

Maybe a better question would be… What areas do I lack in His LOVE that produces any fears from pursuing my dreams? As His perfect LOVE casts out all fear!

Is there any shame, or regrets or failures or unforgiveness.

To forgive others or receive His forgiveness in His unlimited LOVE?!

What new empowering beliefs do I now choose to replace old limiting beliefs?

Will take an account of my behaviours, thoughts and what I say to myself… To see if they are empowering or limiting and ask the LORD to reveal any roots, stones, weeds from the cares of this world in my heart that maybe limiting His fruit, in and through me… and then come back here with any answers on my heart to share…

If I knew I couldn’t fail, what would I do?

If I knew success was inevitable… Then I just continue doing what’s on my heart and mind to do. Casting any future cares on Him as He cares for me… and wants me to succeed!

What does success look like for me?

A million people happy feels like a good round number… but if I can brighten up someone’s day today or tomorrow that all adds up… and can even be very fruitful and multiply…

What does my ideal day look like 5 years from now?

If it’s the same or better than the last five years then I would be happy and blessed and content on Wednesday 5th June 2030

Funny it looks like I am already living the dream!

Like meeting up with a friend for coffee…

If a miracle happened right now to create my perfect life, what would be included?

The same miracle for all my family, friends and everyone on my Christmas list. This Christmas list is not just for Christmas, it’s in the moments with Family, Friends and those who GOD places on my heart who are in my life at that time, or for a season, or by become lifelong and eternal friends.

As to be a blessing to each of them in anyway I can with any resources He has for me at that time, including a timely prayer.

What positive effects would this have for others?

To hope they know someone truly cares!
We would all be blessed… So all good!

If I were to fully live out my potential, what might that look like?

Eternity in heaven!

What have I done or will do that pleases my LORD?

I hope to discuss this with Him starting some fine day in heaven, hoping I have much to hear and less speaking from me, and more active listening over say 1000 years in heaven would be okay. My heart senses He is pleased with me today. So all good!

What are all the strengths You consistently see in me?

I pray! All His strengths in my Spirit… as I learn, understand and acknowledge all the strengths He has inside of me to affect my body and soul and the positive effects in my love my attitude towards any and all my family, friends and neighbours…

What do you know I was born to do?

LOVE the extra mile for someone… and to keep going until they choose to walk with me, go alone or run their own race ahead of me. Just hope they to find their happy place in Him.

How has my faith in You inspired my local and global neighbours?

That’s also something I am happy to hear in heaven…

…but a genuine heartfelt “thank you’ on earth does inspire me to be more, do more and give more… This truly makes me happy and I’m sure heaven smiles too!

Good Morning Holy Spirit! What would you like to add, take away or improve?
