Lessons in Love: Lesson Seven

Gifts received are free and instant, but fruit takes time to produce.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Gal 5:22-23

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:8

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Philip 1:11

The Fruit of Love

I believe my natural father did the best he could with the harsh upbringing he had experienced.

Looking back to my family home, I could recall my natural father’s impatience and anger especially after drinking alcohol. And, remember he did love us the best he knew how, but did not show many signs of a love or affection towards my mum, brother and I.

I believe at an early age from watching how my father responded to my older brother, I didn’t want to do the things my brother did, so that I would not be treated the same way.

I therefore learnt as a toddler to respond to my father out of fear. I was more focused on not doing the wrong things so that he would not be angry with me than doing the right thing. So I ended up doing many wrong things.

I remember through my early teens desperately wanting my father to be proud of me, constantly seeking his approval.

However, when I did something right I was called a “Smart Arse.” And, when I did something wrong I was called “Stupid.”

I was often referred to as the black sheep of the family and on one occasion I was told I was a mistake.

I remember one day my father said to me “A hundred percent for trying, but not getting anywhere!” And actually, believed this to be a compliment for at least he could see I was trying.

During a time of four bereavements in four years of my mum dying of cancer; my Granny dying of old age; my father dying of a heart attack; and my sister committing suicide.

I was completely broken.

During this time, I heard a Christian gospel message of salvation. I prayed the salvation prayer and gave my life to Jesus the best way I knew how. I struggled for years as I saw my supernatural Father God the same way I saw my natural father. I focused on not doing the wrong things because of the fear of His judgement if I got it wrong. I believed Father God was constantly saying to me “Hundred percent for trying but you don’t get anywhere!”

I continuously felt a failure as I kept doing those things, I constantly focused on not doing!

That’s until I received a revelation of God The Father’s immeasurable love towards me through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, just for me. Because even I could qualify as a ‘whosoever’. READ John 3:16

And, hand on heart, I know I have completely forgiven my natural father, because my supernatural heavenly Father first forgave me!

Just ask Him for a personal revelation with the following prayer:

“Dear Heavenly Father, please reveal your love to me in a personal way as I choose to open the eyes and ears of my heart to you; to receive a word or picture from heaven confirmed in your word The Holy Bible. And for you to show me as you see me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Psalms 139:17-18

See human love will at some point be sensual, impatient, rude, lustful, envious, big-headed, boastful, improper, self-seeking, keeps records of wrongs, easily angered, thinking evil thoughts, dishonest, revengeful, deceitful, intolerant, unfaithful, hopeless, temporary and resentful.

Human love is based on emotions which come and go.
Human love will always fail!
Human love will at some point leave you feeling frustrated, worn out, and burnt out.

But God’s love is always sacrificial, patient, kind; friendly, modest, humble, appropriate, generous, calm, thinking good thoughts; honest, truthful; tolerant, faithful, hopeful, enduring, and forgiving and forgetting all mistakes.

God’s love never fails!

When you know you have God’s immeasurable love on the inside of you. To love others is no longer based on an emotion but a decision to love and keep on loving from your heart. And, as you give God’s love to others, He always fills you back up to over flowing. God is love and His love will never run out.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1John 4:16

Therefore, God’s love was demonstrated through Jesus Christ on the cross. And, The Holy Spirit will be our teacher and guide, working in us, from inside out. If we choose to cooperate with Him.

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Rom 5:5

Jesus says: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5

For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Rom 11:16

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Rom 6:22

Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 2Cor 9:10-11

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Col 1:10

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Peter 1:8

Speak out your personal professions today!

So speak out to God loud enough so you can hear yourself talk:

This may seem foolish but it works because you are trusting His way and not your way: And His ways are better than your ways and his thoughts are better than your thoughts!

“Thank you Jesus Christ for your word confirms with the person of The Holy Spirit in me that I have all the fruit living on the inside of me of:

LOVE: Gods immeasurable sacrificial love as demonstrated by Jesus on the cross! As His love within me fills me inside out to love my neighbour as God continues to supply an overflow of His love through me.

JOY: The unspeakable joy of the Lord which is my inner strength. Serving God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things. As His joy remains in me and my joy is full. With His beauty instead of my ashes. With His oil of joy instead of my mourning. Wearing His garment of praise instead of my spirit of heaviness. To become a tree of righteousness, planted by the LORD, that God be glorified.

PEACE: His peace to calm any storm! Not the world’s meaning of peace. But peace that will never trouble my heart, neither will it be afraid. For I understand to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

PATIENCE: His patience to keep going until that, after I have done the will of God, I will receive the promise.

GENTLENESS: His gentleness during harshness because God has given me the shield of His salvation: and His right hand has held me up, and God’s gentleness has made me great.

GOODNESS: And I rejoice in His abundant and great goodness that for sure His goodness, His mercy and His loving-kindness shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

And God would count me worthy of His calling for my life, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of His faith with His power That your name Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in me, and me in Him, according to His amazing grace.

FAITH: Having His faith in me through hearing the word of God. I do not stagger at the promises of God through the unbelief of common-sense knowledge which is temporary and unreliable; but by faith in His word that is eternal, true and faithful. being strong in faith, giving glory to God; to boldly speak His word whole heartedly to cause my impossible to be made possible being full of His faith and His power, to do great wonders and miracles as nothing is impossible to God.

MEEKNESS: His meekness not to speak evil of any man but gentle unto all men. And by instructing those that oppose themselves; that God may give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth in His Word.

TEMPERANCE: His temperance, not to overreact. But to be patient and calm, trusting in the LORD.

Thank You Lord Jesus. Your word is true and faithful. I therefore acknowledge all the things in you, are right now living in me. That the manifestation from the supernatural to the natural has started working. In your Name LORD Jesus. Amen.”

Some examples to change from what you say, to Gods way:

“I can’t SEE any difference BUT the word of God which is true and faithful says ….”

“The doctor TOLD me a bad report BUT the word of God which is true and faithful says….”

“I FEEL ……… BUT the word of God which is true and faithful says ….”

On one occasion in prayer God spoke to me by His Spirit saying “I love you just as you are!” And, another occasion He said “I know you love me.” His desire within me wants you to know, God Almighty loves you too.
